These are objects that are overlooked or have outlived their usefulness. I painted them to explore their physical qualities: light, shape and substance, and to investigate color, both ambient and invented. In making these paintings, however, the objects took on lives of their own and began to interact with each other in unanticipated ways. They became players in ongoing scenarios.. I found myself just the observer of their “adventures. “ As such, they continue to intrigue and amuse me.
